William J. Irvin

Bill’s practice encompasses all areas of commercial and corporate representation. He also maintains an active income tax planning and estate planning practice for individuals and couples seeking to preserve their holdings for future generations. Personal Information

Bill was born in 1950 in Richmond, Virginia. He graduated from Huguenot High School in 1968; received a B.S. in Accounting from the McIntire School of Commerce (recently ranked the #1 undergraduate business school in the country), University of Virginia, in 1973; received his J.D. from the T.C. Williams School of Law, University of Richmond, in 1976 (Law Review); and received an LL.M. in Taxation from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law, College of William and Mary, in 1980. He has given numerous lectures on taxation, estate planning, and non-profit organizations. He is married to Pamela and they have two grown children, Billy and Jules. Bill enjoys fine wine, the Redskins, UVA sports, travel, and spending time with his family. He has been active in church and has taken courses at the Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond. He is a past board member and past board president of Friends Association for Children and Ministering to Ministers Foundation, an organization he helped found. He has held key leadership positions on non-profit boards, in church organizations, on school boards, and in civic associations.
